AREA # 523 (AREA Ha): 39.5

Reason re-classified: harvesting records
Ecosystem type (FMIS): Jarrah forest - South
Review process: Remote analysis (GIS) and field checked
Finding: Sampling data combined with remote analysis of aerial photographs clearly indicates the area is regrowth forest. Evidence of logging (tramline, stumps) and previous lease activities were readily visible. A large portion is also dieback infected.
Recommendation: NON OLD-GROWTH. Area 523 to be returned to the corporate database as non-old growth. Field reconnaissance and demarcation of the actual boundary must be undertaken by the proponent of any future activity in the area.
